Creaky Cranky is hosted by Driver Perkins a real life train conductor who guides kids through the episodes included on Creaky Cranky! It's a really unique twist as I've never seen a real life host on a Thomas & Friends dvd! Included on the dvd is four episodes : Creaky Cranky, Tickled Pink, Steamy Sondor, and Early Bird! Creaky Cranky the title episode has Thomas paired off against Cranky (the crane) both of which call each other names. Cranky calls Thomas tiny and Thomas calls Cranky creaky. They both set off to prove the other wrong and in the end Cranky attempts to lift Thomas off the tracks and ends up just damaging himself in the process. In the end they drop the teasing and Thomas helps Cranky get the parts he needs to be repaired. I really especially enjoyed this episode as I think it's so important for children to realize how they affect others to calling them names. Being short myself I can't even tell you all the names I was called, most of which never bothered me, but there are a few that still stick with me to this day. Some of the other lessons taught in these episodes are about listening, teamwork, and there is sometimes more to someone than what it appears. Also included on the dvd is a Karaoke Music Video featuring the "Sound Song" which features some of the cool sounds that trains make.
