DVD Review : Barney Furry Friends

It’s raining cats and dogs in Barney’s world! Well maybe not, but Barney : Furry Friends is all about our favorite friends, our pet dogs and cats! We are all about the pets around here but I think some people especially kids take their furry friends for granted. Barney is here to show us just how special the relationships we build with our pets really can be!

Three episodes plus a really cute hide and seek dvd game are included on this DVD. All of which are about having cats and dogs as pets. Kids will learn about not only household pets but about some extra special pets like guide dogs, about dog shows, and even about the neighborhood dogs that live near Barney. For those of you that read our blog before the name change you might remember that several of our dogs were show dogs, so it was pretty cool to see Barney host a little dog show for fun.

With only three episodes included this Barney dvd is rather short compared to some of the others we have seen lately. However if you have a cat or dog fan in the house or are preparing to introduce your child to their first pet this would be a great dvd to add to your collection to introduce those ideas. Connor has had a puppy or dog in his hands practically since he was born so we have had the opportunity to teach him how to properly respect and play with animals but I think that its something all kids need to know and understand regardless if they have pets at home.
