What really suprised me about this set is the episodes included. Lately all the Thomas releases we have seen have been in the new CGI Thomas episode style. Honestly though I like the CGI version of Thomas, I'm secretly a huge fan of the classic episodes. This set brings back some of the best christmas/holiday episodes of Thomas from the past! Actually the real joy of this set was the fact that other than Thomas and Percy’s Christmas Adventure I had actually not seen any of the episodes included on this dvd up till now.
Just a few of the epsidoes included are Snow Engine, Thomas's Frosty Friend, Don't tell Thomas and more. Also included are a few dvd games including the Sondor Sounds game which Connor really enjoyed.
I admit I went ahead and gave Connor the Holiday Express dvd which has been a favorite before bedtime but we hid the special edition holiday train and I plan on putting that one in his stocking. I also know this seems a little insignifigant.. but we have a huge dvd collection and I was really pleased to find out that the dvd included comes in an ultra thin dvd case which takes up a ton less space on the bookcase.

Our favorite Thomas the Tank episode is Heave Ho Thomas!
This episode is when a large new engine called Hank arrives on Sodor and is to help Thomas with three jobs. But his brash personality resutls in upsetting Thomas and the tank engine refuses to need his help, with disastorous consequences.
We like the episode where Thomas' friend (don't remember name) is very old and breaks dumping a lot of rocks down the mountain. My little boy is always so comcerned - just like Thomas
