You'll be decorating like Nancy in no time!

You know its times like these where sometimes, just sometimes, I kinda wish I had a little girl to share things with. I love Fancy Nancy, how can you not, she is the the classic little princess that every little girl and woman insides yerns to be regardless if they admit it or not. My "Fancy Nancy" side comes out now and then but if you asked me I'd claim up and down I was a tomgirl. heh.

Briarpatch games has a brand new Fancy Nancy's Posh Bedroom board game out which is bound to appeal to all those little girls out there and you may just be able to talk the brothers into playing too as long as you don't tell their friends. heh.

The game is actually the most complex Briarpatch game we have played thus far making it really best for players five years and older and their first few rounds they may need a little help from mom. Each player gets her own bedroom game board which works a bit like a flip book. On the surface Fancy Nancy is standing in one very sad looking plain room and as you play the game you flip down each panel slowly revealing Nancy's new accessorized room.

To flip down the panels on the gameboard you have to play the correct cards which you get at the beginning of your turn in order and roll the color coded dice to decide which panels you can flip down in what order. There is not a whole lot of reading required but the gameplay system is a bit too advanced for a toddler and its a great introduction to more adult oriented card based games later. Overall its actually really ingenious I don't think I've ever seen a board game like it and really its only limitation is in the number of players that can play at once as you only get four game boards.
