KCK one!

The KCK One fits babies from 8 to 40 pounds with no rise adjustments, snaps, just velcro!

The KCK One is a unique idea for two reasons, the first one is its a very unusual diaper in the way it adjusts and how it is made! The KCK One is truly a WAHM movement, based on a pattern WAHMs can create their own cloth diapers to sell.

I came across the KCK One through Baby Belle on Etsy. The first time I saw them I was intrigued by the way the adjust and the fact that they are made at home by a stay at home mom gives you a customizability option that is just not there in mass produced diapers. Baby Belle's KCK One diapers are available in a variety of solid colors, a selection of different liner colors, prints, and even embroidered designs on the butt of the diaper if you wish!

The KCK One's adjustability is the unusual aspect about this diaper. Its a velcro one size diaper which usually means that the waist would be velcro and the rise adjustment would classically be done by snaps down the front. This diaper instead uses a fold down method to adjust he rise of the diaper. In the large size the diaper functions like any other velcro diaper. If you want to adjust it for a newborn however you flip open the velcro sides on the tabs pull the body of the diaper up past the belly button and then fold back down the front of the diaper over the tabs velcroing them together. This sounds fairly confusing so its just easier to show you verses tell you. Check out the video below which shows the diaper being used in all of its sizes.

One other slightly unusual aspect of this diaper is the pocket opening is in the front of the diaper instead of on the rear end of the diaper. As both ends of the opening are finished there is no puckering of the fabric or having to tuck the liner back into the back of the diaper. This gives the diaper the apperance of being an all in one and you'd never see the opening at all unless you unvelcroed the diaper. It just gives the diaper a neat finished appearance if your baby spends a lot of time in just his/her diaper as Connor does.

Pros :

• A large range of adjustments from 8 lbs to 40lbs you can go all the way into potty training.
• Endless color combo options and customizability.
• Depending on the options you choose it can be one of the cheaper one size diapers on the market.

Cons :

• The fold down flap on the smallest setting can be a bit bulky.
• The adjustment may be a bit confusing for daycare or baby sitters at first.
