Finally it seems that the word on ecofriendly products is getting out to main stream companies. Clorox is not usually the first company I associate with environmentally friendly, though I am a huge fan of the Clorox Cleanup line when it comes to sanitizing my kitchen I try to use anything involving chemicals in my household as sparingly as possible. The Clorox Cleanup usually makes an appearance after cooking with chicken or when I have a stain that just won't come out on my stove or in the bathroom.
However, Clorox has a new line of environmentally friendly, biodegradable, 99% natural cleaners that starts a whole new trend with bigger businesses really hearing our screams for natural cleaners. I'll be totally honest with you.. the first time I saw Greenworks in my grocery store's shelves I stopped, backed up, and said very loudly.. NO WAY. I have been a fan of natural cleaners for many many years but I remember many years ago I had to make a monthly pilgrimage to a natural grocery store to get them. Greenworks however in one fail swoop seemed to make eco friendly cleaners available almost everywhere. Clorox Greenworks released its new dishwashing liquid this month, and with a price point of $3.49 its pretty comparable with other non ecofriendly dishwashing liquids. Not to mention the great selection of scents available including tangerine, water lily, original, lemon, and of course scent free. Personally I am the most excited about the water lily but we got the original to review and it has a very nice citrus smell. Though I have been using eco friendly dishwashing soaps for years now, I can say that the Greenworks soap performs well against my favorite brand and honestly I cannot tell a diffrent between ecofriendly and regular dishwashing soap other than the fact that they tend to dry out my hands a less as instead of a chemical based soap most biodegradable soaps, including Greenworks, use a coconut based cleanser which is not rough on hands.
Next time your walking down the isle at the local grocery store check out the Greenworks display and give them a try. I've been itching to try the toilet bowl cleaner and glass cleaners as well! You can check out more information on Greenworks on their website as well.

I've been wanting to try these products too. Haven't seen them in the store yet but headed there today - so I'll check. Thanks for the reminder.
