What to do when its 95 degrees outside and stifling hot and your 13 month old is attempting to sky dive off of his baby sofa?! You know honestly I don't have an answer for that one yet.. but Gymboree Play & Learn has certainly given us a ton of ideas!!
Organized by age and color coded for easy access Gymboree Play & Learn provides parents, grandparents, and caretakers some easy ideas for some great learning time and fun! You do not need an arsenal of expensive toys to really enjoy your time with your baby. Some creative new ways to look at everyday day items.. and just the two of you yourselves is really all you need!
Connor is currently thirteen months old now and really becoming super interactive on his play.. as a first time mom myself sometimes I am totally lost as to what to do or say or play! We have the basics nailed down.. peakboo! I've learned through trial and error that water.. any water.. is always fun, at least for Connor. Though I'm always up to learning a new trick.
Visiting a hardware store was one of the suggestions in the 12+ month section. A hardware store? Honestly I never thought of that!! All those great colors in the paint sample isle... and the fan section.. ooo and the garden section! I'm not sure why I never thought of that but Connor would be in heaven, especially when it comes to the garden section.
The other suggestion we really enjoy is the "pull my blanket", again I have no idea why this never occurred to me but Play & Learn suggests you put some plush friends on a blanket and allow your toddler to pull them around the house and in turn you can pull them around the house on the blanket too. Connor is going to love that.. I am going to try it as soon as he wakes up!
