The Sandman strikes again!!

Connor is teething again and suddenly its difficult to get him to sleep through the night.

Sandman Records is to the rescue again with their amazing CD series Dream With Me Tonight. Anything to keep my little man sleeping a little longer is heaven. If you are not familuar with other CDs from Sandman Records see my review of Lanny Sherwin's work here.

Dream With Me Tonight features a collection of soothing, lullaby's sung by Melodie Crittenden. Though this may sound a bit odd, one of my big deciding factors on if we really love a bedtime CD or not is how easy the songs are to sing. Ever since Connor was born I've been singing along to his bedtime CDs (or even singing them when the mp3 player or CD player is not handy) and though I really love some of his CDs the effect is just not the same if I can't sing them myself to him. Our favorite song on the CD is "Too many animals", which reminds me a lot of my own bed as a child. I couldn't sleep without every single stuffed animal I owned wasn't on my bed. It ended up being a sea of plush with a tiny person in the middle, and you know what.. it was wonderful.

Dream With Me Tonight - Volume 2 A Father's Lullabies, is our favorite CD of the set. Performed by Gene Miller you can feel the love for his children oozing out in each song. The perfect CD for new Dad's or a Dad with a herd! You, Me, and the Moon speaks volumes of how, I think all dads, feel when they first hold their new little munchkins. Though I will be pretty frank to say, unlike what dad's may seem to think, us mom's don't have a clue most of the time what they are doing either. (At least this one doesn't, I just make it up as I go!)

I warn you now, just like the rest of the Sandman Records titles you will find yourself humming them, everywhere.
