What is a Chumby?

Have you guys heard of Chumby?


If you haven't let me introduce you!

Is that not the most adorable thing you have seen? But wait.. it gets better!

Chumby is awsome! Chumby is a small (5 1/2 wide, 4 1/4 tall, 3 1/4 deep) device used to access the internet anywhere you have WiFi access and a power outlet!

To make a long story short Chumby is your own personal portable tiny portable internet

Some uses for your Chumby :

• Catch the latest news headlines, sports, weather, stock prices.



• Play your iPod® mp3 files through built in speakers. Charge it too.



• Enjoy your Flickr and Facebook photos as a digital picture frame.



• Stay updated on new Netflix releases or view your movie queue.



• Make and share e-greetings, photo mash-ups, goofy animations.



• Wake up to the multi-tone alarm clock.



• Track any eBay auction or Craigslist item.



• Monitor incoming email on any POP3 account.
  

Personally If I had a Chumby I would use it to watch pictures of the little man himself (Connor), keep track of the weather, and play Monster Stomper (check out the widgets on the Chumby wepage to find out what this is)!

Seriously its one of the coolest gadgets I've seen in a long time (move over roomba!).

For those of you who like to (or husbands like to) modify your gadgets, Chumby is hackable. All the source code, hardware specs, and even instructions to build a case is right on the Chumby webpage so you can TRUELY make Chumby anything you want it to be!

All of this for $179.00 .. If I had the cash I would buy one right now! This would be the perfect christmas present for all the "geeks" on your list. (Especially me!)
